|It's just soooo pretty|
PhoenixCircling through the air surround,Phoenix by Nytram12
Blazing everything to the ground,
Whipped up to a crescendo,
Until in a single moment, it’ll go.
An empty hush, breath baited,
The winds and fury, thirsts sated.
Soundless tears well, before being shed,
The healing beginning in his head.
Black dust gathered, ash piled high,
Flickering embers, reaching for the sky.
Faint echoes of hope, a memory saved,
Glories of the past, a life remembered.
Flash inferno, an almighty crack,
No second chances, no going back,
No great loss, no more need to mourn,
Life jump started, a phoenix reborn.
The Journey of a Broken HeartThe Journey of a Broken Heart by Nytram12
A push, a shove,
The pit in his stomach dropping,
Sky and earth blend into one.
Her face, the pain,
Tears streaming down her cheeks,
Reaching out, pushing away,
Her push, his stupidity, duality of blame
Shattered in, bleeding out,
Still trying to process the shock,
The confusion, the questions,
What more could he have done?
Broken spirit, cracked core,
At rock bottom he comes to rest,
The end has come,
How could he possibly move on from here?
Thud thud, thud thud,
From deep within, the instinct to survive,
Thud thud, thud thud,
He sits, then stands, groaning, before looking up.
A path, a direction,
A way out of these perilous depths,
A climb, a slog,
The first steps back to heady heights.
Wondering how much longer it will take,
Will he ever see the horizon again?
The crest, the summit,
Ascension from deep finally complete,
Out of breath, lacking sleep,
Echoes in a Hollow HouseWelcome to these old rooms and halls,Echoes in a Hollow House by Nytram12
Watch memories play across the walls,
Familiar surroundings on the fade to grey,
The echoes of a bygone day.
A laugh, a smile,
Conversing for a while,
Many topics and questions,
Yet oblivious to your affections.
Fast forward in time,
A few months and you're mine.
Who am I kidding?
It was you doing the catching!
A trip to Spain, walks on the beach,
Watching birds of prey; it was all your treat.
Buffet food and many a swimming pool,
An absolute must for keeping cool.
Birthdays, holidays, graduation;
You were there for them all, no exception.
Yet when you needed me the most,
Your need passed me by like a ghost.
I have few regrets so far in life,
But that one keeps jabbing like a knife.
A wound reopening,
With some prodding and poking.
But what's done is done,
Here I'm trying to move on.
Stuck in these rooms and halls,
Watching memories on the walls.
The SystemI'm a slave to the systemThe System by StormKitten
Forced to queue in line
Just names on flickering computer screens
You mean nothing in this life
It doesn't matter where you come from
Who you are or where you've been
Because in the system we are all the same
Just data in a big machine
The system cares nothing of humility
It gives you just enough to exsist
But pay you must and pay you will
Until all has come to dust
